On November 6, 2025, in Astana, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and organized by the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the republican scientific-practical conference “Archive-2025: Heritage in the Archive” took place.

The conference was dedicated to the final stage of implementing the comprehensive action plan for the “Archive-2025” project for the years 2020-2025.
Within the framework of this project, thousands of valuable documents related to the history of Kazakhstan were collected from foreign and domestic archives and introduced into scientific circulation. Additionally, over the last five years, the material and technical base of archival institutions was upgraded, and digital systems were introduced.

Leaders of republican and regional archives, archival specialists, historians, representatives of state bodies, and mass media, attended the conference.
During the event, the work done under the “Archive-2025” program and the results achieved were discussed, and video clips and exhibition materials were presented.

This conference was the culmination of five years of the “Archive-2025” project and an important milestone marking the beginning of a new stage in the development of the archival sector in Kazakhstan. As noted by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the main goal of archival work is not only to preserve valuable historical heritage but also to present it to society using modern technologies. The “Archive-2025: Heritage in the Archive” conference is a vivid example of this idea, showcasing systematic work on digitizing archives, preserving historical memory, and passing on the heritage to future generations.
