Roundtable dedicated to the creative legacy of Sherkhan Murtaza held at the National Archive

On February 2, 2026, a roundtable on the theme “The Literary Treasure of Sherkhan Murtaza” was organized at the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan in honor of National Press Day.
The event was held on the joint initiative of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the “Qazaq Gazetteri” Partnership.
The main goal of the roundtable was the acceptance of manuscripts and valuable documents of the state and public figure, prominent writer Sherkhan Murtaza into the National Archive fund, the wide promotion of his creative, journalistic, and public activities, and the honoring of his rich spiritual heritage as a historical value.
Within the framework of the event, an exhibition displaying rare documents, photographs, and books from Sherkhan Murtaza’s personal fund was presented, and a video on the restoration of damaged documents was shown.
