Document Preservation Department of the
National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan
The Document Preservation Department is a structural subdivision of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main functions of the department are:
- acceptance for state storage of documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan of all types of media;
- storage and preservation of documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the archives of the National Archive;
- reception, storage and security of documents containing state secrets;
- storage and preservation of the State Insurance Fund of documents and the use fund;
- identification of particularly valuable documents for their transfer to insurance copying;
- issuance of archival documents for work to researchers in the reading room, archive workers – in the working rooms for the execution of requests, restoration, identification of documents for exhibitions and other works, organizations – for temporary use.
