Official meeting of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and representatives of the company «Preservation Technologies», L.P. (PTLP)

On August 22, 2025, the Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurlanova Sagila Yesimseitovna, held an official meeting with the representative of the company «Preservation Technologies», L.P. (PTLP), Mr. Gokal Raj.

Preservation Technologies, L.P. is a world-renowned leading company in the field of preservation of cultural heritage for libraries and archives. The company is engaged in the development of innovative solutions for the long-term preservation of paper documents, books and other archival materials. PTLP is the developer and owner of the Bookkeeper®️ technology for paper deacidification. This method stabilizes the chemical structure of documents, slows down their deterioration and ensures their preservation for centuries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of long-term preservation of archival documents, their de acidification and restoration. Mr. Gokal Raj introduced the Bookkeeper®️ technology and shared his experience in international archival work. This method was assessed as an effective tool for ensuring the preservation of documents of high historical and cultural value.

In turn, S.E. Nurlanova provided information on the work being carried out in the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan to preserve and restore documents. Noting its importance in preserving cultural and historical heritage, she noted that its preservation for future generations is a key task.

This meeting was an important step in the development of archival work in Kazakhstan, using international experience, and contributing to the improvement of document preservation technologies.
