The collection of the «Queen of poetry» has been enriched with valuable manuscripts

The personal archive collection of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan belonging to the People’s Writer, State Prize laureate, public figure, and poet, recipient of the “Qurmet Belgi” and “Parasat” orders, Fariza Ongarsynova, has once again been enriched with valuable manuscripts.
The poet’s works had previously been officially transferred to the National Archive of Kazakhstan, and in 2024 a special ceremonial event was held to mark the opening of the collection. This time, four boxes of manuscripts written since 1965, along with typewritten versions, were delivered from the city of Almaty, further expanding the documentary heritage.
The poet’s son, Almas Ongarsynov, personally handed over his mother’s archival documents and emphasized his commitment to ensuring that this legacy is preserved for future generations and becomes a national treasure.
“The documents transferred to the archive consist of my mother’s original handwritten manuscripts from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. It is known that nearly 50 of her books have been published to date. My mother wrote all her works by hand rather than on a typewriter before submitting them for publication. Among the manuscripts handed over are originals of books such as ‘Shilde’ and ‘Daua,’ along with others. Last year, as part of her 85th anniversary, we also transferred around 50 materials. We continue to collect and gradually submit documents related to her life and work to the archive. I believe these materials will be valuable for scholars, students, and thoughtful readers,” said Almas Ongarsynov.
These invaluable materials provide great opportunities for in-depth study of the poet’s творчество and for promoting it to future generations. The preservation of such spiritual heritage in the National Archive is an integral part of the country’s history and literature.
