On September 5, 2025, the Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sagila Yesimseyitovna Nurlanova held an official meeting with the Director General of the State Archives of Poland Pavel Petshik, Director of the Department for the Formation of the National Archival Fund Anna Jastrzembska-Pavljak, and Director of the State Archives in Pietrzków Tomasz Matusiak.

During the meeting, the issues of developing bilateral cooperation in the field of archival work, exchanging professional experience, digitizing and preserving documents, implementing joint projects in the future and raising partnership to a new level through the introduction of modern archival technologies were discussed.
During the meeting, Mr. Pavel Petshik presented Sagila Yesimseyitovna with an archival copy of the letter sent by Khan Tokhtamysh to the King of Poland-Lithuania in 1393. The valuable historical document is stored in the Central Archive of Historical Documents in Warsaw. The letter is an important historical evidence of diplomatic relations between the Golden Horde and the Polish-Lithuanian state. It is written in the Khorezm-Chagatai language in the Uyghur script and is confirmed by a gold stamp embossed in Arabic script.
