A seminar for the heads of archives in Abai region was held at the National archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On December 5, 2025, a seminar for the leadership of state archives in Abai region was held at the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic «Current Trends, Methodologies, and Technologies in Archival Work». The main goal of the seminar was to discuss relevant issues in the field of archival work and document management, as well as exchange experiences.

At the opening of the event, Sagila Nurlanova, Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, wished the participants success and spoke about management methods in the archival sector. Y. Zhanabekov, Head of the Archival Technologies Department, delivered a lecture on “Features of Expert Evaluation of the Value of Electronic Documents” and answered questions related to electronic archiving. During the seminar, leading specialists and department heads of the National Archive gave lectures on several important topics. At the end of the program, the participants had the opportunity to visit the archive storage facilities, the digitization and restoration laboratories, and watch a video.

The experience exchange trip served as a basis for improving the knowledge of regional archival staff and for introducing positive changes in their work. At the end of the seminar, all participants were awarded special certificates.
