Participants of the International Congress of Archivists Visited the National Archives

As part of their visit to Astana to participate in the III International Congress of Archivists “Digital Archive EXPO,” representatives of the archival community visited the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and became acquainted with its activities.
Among the guests were Ulugbek Mirtalibovich Yusupov, Director of the “UzArchive” Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Anvarjon Orifjonovich Aliyev, Adviser to the Director of the Agency.
During the visit, the foreign colleagues learned about the activities of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and exchanged experience in the fields of archival management, document preservation and records management, digitization processes, and the use of information systems. The staff of the National Archives organized a special tour for the guests, showcasing archival repositories, document restoration and conservation laboratories, digitization facilities, and the institution’s modern technological capabilities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss current issues in the archival sector and to present ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening international cooperation, promoting professional exchange, and ensuring the long-term preservation of archival collections in digital formats.
