Seminar “Archival Documents – the Golden Fund of National Heritage” Held at the National Archive

On April 15, 2026, the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a seminar titled “Archival Documents – the Golden Fund of National Heritage”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the event was to discuss current issues in archival science, explain modern requirements for records management and archival preservation, and consider effective approaches to the development of the state archival фонд.
During the seminar, presentations were delivered on key areas of archival activity, including the formation of records classification systems (nomenclature of files), requirements for the preservation of archival documents, the use of information and computing technologies, and issues of digitalization. Participants were also introduced to the activities of the archive, watched a special video presentation, and took part in an экскурсия.
At the end of the event, the Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, S. Nurlanova, presented letters of appreciation to several participants for their contribution to the development of the archival sector.
